About Us

Brian and Mandy are a young married couple, seeking to live as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brian grew up in a military family, traveling around the United States and Europe until settling in San Diego, CA.  It was there, in middle school, when he was introduced to the Christian faith. He professed his faith in high school while on a youth group retreat.  It was also during this time that Brian received his call to ministry as a priest in the Anglican tradition.  Yet another highlight of this time in Brian's life was that he met the woman who would become his wife, Mandy, and they started dating while still in high school.

During college, Brian was mentored and discipled through participating in the campus ministry at Cal State University San Marcos.  He was introduced to the study of Scripture, as well as the richness of Christian fellowship.  Later in college, Brian started a job as youth minister at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in San Diego.  The three years which he spent in that position were very fruitful and formative, as he learned not only what it meant to teach the Scriptures, but also how to be a minister in God's Church.  After college, Brian began attending Bethel Seminary in San Diego, however, this was on a part time basis.  Realizing that it would take him about nine years to graduate, Brian and Mandy, who were married during college, began looking for a residential Anglican seminary.  They found Trinity School for Ministry and made the big move in the summer of 2009 from San Diego, CA to Ambridge, PA.  After being in Ambridge for three years, Brian graduated with an M.Div. and was called to Holy Spirit Anglican Church, San Diego, as a curate.

Mandy was born and raised in Santee, CA. She attended K-8th grade, high school and community college in her hometown. During high school, she met Brian and they started dating her sophomore year. They were married January 7, 2006 between semesters of her second year in college. She graduated from Cal State San Marcos in December of 2008 with a bachelors degree in Human Development with an emphasis in Counseling Services. Mandy hopes to complete her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy to become a counselor. She and Brian lived in Pittsburgh, PA while he attended seminary from 2009-2012. Throughout her life, she has grown deeper in love with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. With the help of many loving mentors, she has discovered God's redeeming love for her and seeks to live her life in thanksgiving for all He has done for her. She attributes her faith first and foremost to the grace of God through the Holy Spirit, and next to her patient and loving husband, Brian. She thanks God for putting her into a Christian home and providing dedicated family and friends to walk alongside her in this journey. She is excited to see what God has planned for the next chapter of her life in His hands.
